Final Grades Available in Chem Education Office
The final exams have been graded and 5.12 students can review their exams and obtain their course grades by visiting the Chemistry Education Office (2-204) after 1 PM today. In accord with 5.12 policy in past years, you are not permitted to remove the final exam from the Chemistry Education Office, and must return the exam when you have finished reviewing it. Your final course grade is written on your exam. We have very carefully checked the grading of each exam, and in accord with past 5.12 policy, we regret that regrades cannot be considered for the final exam.
Please contact your Teaching Assistant if you have any questions about your course grade. Please note, however, that the performance of each student whose grades placed them at the A/B, B/C, and C/D borders was individually reviewed at a meeting of the entire 5.12 Teaching Staff yesterday, and a final grade was assigned only after extensive discussion.
Please accept our best wishes for the summer. It was a pleasure teaching 5.12 this spring and we hope that you will go on to take other Chemistry courses in the future (5.13 is a great subject!).
