Dear class,

P4: As we announced in today's lecture, we ask you to please fill up this doodle poll to schedule the final project presentations. Please keep in mind that there are 3 slots for Thursday 5/10, 3 for Tuesday 5/15 and 2 for Thursday 5/17. Please upload your slides on Stellar by noon on the day that you are presenting. You will have 20 min to present and 10 min for Q&A.

A5: Additionally, we ask you to please write a 1-page report on the project (other than yours) that you like the most. Feel free to consider just the first six groups if you don't want to wait until the last day to write your report. Submissions are individual and due on Thursday 5/17 at 11:59 pm on Stellar.

P5: The final project report is also due on Thursday 5/17 at 11:59 pm. Please submit only one report per group.

No A4

Dear students

We realize you have a big load in 1.011 with the term project ahead of you. So to allow you to focus on the term project, we have eliminated A4, Cammitibridge as a written submission and transformed it into an in-class exercise on May 3, 2012. You do have to be up to date on your 1.011 readings by that date to be able to particpate effectively in the in-class exercise.

1.011 Term Project Meetings

Dear class,

Your teams will meet with 1.011 instructing staff to discuss your term project. We have already assigned each team to a primary advisor, but of course you can reach out to any of us with specific questions. After you hand in P2, we will have 20-minute meetings with each team to talk about the first progress report. Prof. Sussman and your advisor will be present at the meetings, which will be held on April 12th (7:30-9:30 PM) and 13th (12:00-2:00 PM). Please fill up the doodle pool to schedule the meeting. Please select only ONE choice per group.

1.011-Mini-Presentations on March 16th

Dear class,

On Friday’s recitation, we’ll have the mini-presentations on the term projects. Each group will have a maximum of 5 min to present and 2 min for Q&A. To speed up things and in case you are using slides, please send them to me at least 30 min before the recitation begins (that is 10:30 AM). Also, please limit the number of slides to 4.

We will be strict on the time, so be prepared. The recitation will begin at 11:00 AM, sharp.

With no particular logic, we came up with the following order for the presentations:
