Final Exam Clarification 3

Hi everyone,

One more clarification--several people have asked about the meaning of ASP2 in the spreadsheet provided.  The case suggests that 55% of Nokia's revenue comes from low-end phones, and ASP2 is equal to 0.55 x (weighted avg selling price of mobile phones).  This allows you to estimate revenue from low end phones = ASP2 x customers.

The use of the ASP2 values and the calculation above are optional.  Please note that there are several implicit assumptions in this calculation, and if you use the math above, your write-up should demonstrate an understanding of these assumptions.  You should also feel free to make a different set of assumptions to find revenue (which should also be clearly stated).

Best regards,

Chris
