Final Problem Set - Solution and Graded Psets Posted

Hi All,

The final problem set is now graded and a solution set is posted on Stellar under Homework. We gave everyone a few extra bonus points on the final, since some of the questions were particularly challenging. In the solution set, there is also a post-script about what has happened on immigration reform since your wrote the final, in case you are curious.

Thank you all for your hard work this semester. We hope you all have a lovely summer and we wish you well. It was a great class this semester and we both had fun working with you!

Dinner with Xav + students

Hi Class,

A student has organized a dinner with Xav for Thursday evening at 6:30 PM. If you are interested in joining, there are 3-4 more spaces for students from the class and your dinner will be paid for. We'll do this on a first-come basis.

Course review tomorrow

Hi All,

Just a reminder we're doing our course review tomorrow, and then the final pset will be posted after class.

If you have questions or specific topics you'd like us to cover in the review, post them in the forum by 10 AM tomorrow. It would be great to hear from you!

And we'll do the course evals at the end of class, so if you have a computer, please bring it.

Pset 3 graded + other annoucements

Hi Class,

1) Pset 3 is graded and posted, along with the summary feedback and a model example. Thank you for your patience on this -- everything got delayed with the events a few weeks back. But we are glad to get you feedback before the final problem set.

2) Our final class is on Tuesday. There is a thread in the forum where you can post questions / discussion topics for the debrief. Please do this by 8 PM on Monday evening, so I can compile your questions.

3) We will give you the last 10 minutes of class to fill in the online course evaluation, so please bring a computer to class if that is convenient.

4) All the presentations from the semester are posted under Materials on Stellar, but if you have other questions about review resources, just send me an email.

5) At this point, I have heard from 4 students that they will need to write the final pset later. If you haven't contacted me, you will be writing the final between 4PM on Tuesday and 4PM on Thursday. If you have contacted me, I'll send you an email now to confirm.

A few annoucements

Hi Class,

A few announcements:

1) The mediators need to post their agreements from Thursday's game in a word doc ASAP. Other students should look at these agreements before class.

2) Take a look at the most recent syllabus posted on Stellar. Over the next two weeks, we have a number of cases we'll be reading/watching, and you'll need to make time during a busy end of the semester. We also have our final assignment, which will have a two-day turn around. All of this is clear on the syllabus, but we just wanted to make sure these items were on your radar so you can plan accordingly.

3) There is an opportunity to work on a negotiation app, if you are interested. See below. You need to contact Prof Wheeler by Monday May 13 at the latest, if you're interested.

NEGOTIATION APP. Harvard Business School Professor seeks a person with app-development experience to work with him to develop a bargaining style self-assessment test. The app will be free, so compensation will be on an hourly basis. Please send your resume (and any questions) to Michael Wheeler: mwheeler@hbs.edu.
