15.034 Projects & Presentations

Hi everyone,

Some announcements on your upcoming projects and presentations:

1. Consulting Project due May 7th at noon
- Submit a .zip file via Stellar link with the following documents included: writeup (<=5 pgs), presentation slides, .do file, .log file, all .dta files used in the .do file

2. Hedge Fund Project due May 7th at noon
- Submit a .zip file via Stellar link with the following documents included: presentation slides (max 10 pgs), .do file, .log file or regression output/graphs and comments, .dta files

3. Presentations
- We will have 3 days of presentation: May 9th, 14th and 16th, starting with the consulting projects and ending with the hedge fund project
- Teams will be notified at the beginning of class if they are presenting
- We will have multiple (but not all) teams present for each consulting/hedge fund project, which will be selected with a goal of generating discussion

I've received some questions on loops in Stata. I've posted under 'Recitations' some basic commands for writing local macros and loops. Do note that this is not exhaustive - check Stata help or Stata forums (Google) for more ideas on how these can be written.
