This Monday is our final seminar.  We will read two pieces (currently posted) by past and contemporary luminaries in sociology:  Simmel and DiMaggio.  These are significant theoretical pieces, so take your time digesting them.  Our guest speaker will be Emily Erikson from Yale, and she will be speaking about the Theory of Networks.

I am sure everyone is on edge given the developments this week. Please stay indoors and stay safe.  Hopefully, this will all be resolved soon, but please know that we are very concerned with your well being, both physically and mentally, so please consider your personal safety as your first and top priority right now.

Regarding Monday's class, we will assume for now that everything will proceed as normal on Monday, and I will post readings soon.  I am talking with our visiting speaker, who has raised the natural concern that normal flight operations may be suspended, but we will have to see what happens as the situation evolves.  I will keep you all updated accordingly.
