Please provide your evaluation for 6.005

Hi,
You made it to the end of 6.005! We hope you absorbed a ton of material and all the programming opportunities 6.005 provided throughout the semester. Hopefully 6.005 made you a better programmer and set you on the path to becoming an ace coder.

Now we need your help in getting your feedback. We take this feedback very seriously. They have a big impact on the course staff -- affecting awards, promotions, future appointments etc. More importantly, they heavily influence the future versions of 6.005. For example, many changes we instituted this year were a direct result of the feedback we got from the Fall offering of 6.005.

Right now 6.005 is not doing well in getting your feedback. At this point, 6.005 response-rate is the lowest for a big course-VI class. For example, the response rate for 6.00 is at 50%, 6.01 is at 42% and 6.004 is at 40%. In comparison, 6.005 response-rate is at 24%.

I hope you will help remedy this situation. Please go to http://web.mit.edu/subjectevaluation/ before 9:00 AM tomorrow morning (in less than 24 hours) and provide your feedback.

Thanks!

README file in your Guichat project

Hi guys-

As you finish your project tonight, we'd just like to request you to add a README file containing a sentence or two on how to run your client and server. This is especially important if your code isn't trivial to run.

This should only take two minutes to do. Please put your README in the root folder of your project.

Good luck!

Spontaneous office hours!

Hi all,

I'm holding emergency office hours from now until midnight in 32-044. This is mostly intended for teams struggling with last-minute debugging. If you think this applies, please stop by!

Best,
Hayden

FInal Lecture tomorrow & Awards Announcement

Hi all-

I hope you are all pumped with finishing your project and this term. As we prepare for the upcoming summer, we will conclude 6.005 with an awesome final lecture tomorrow during usual class time at 11:00am!

We're going to talk about two things:

- We'll look back on what we learned throughout the course and we'll also discuss what cool courses to take after 6.005!

- Also, we're going to announce the winners of the final project awards. So please make sure to be there so you could see the awesome apps your classmates made!

We're hoping to see you there tomorrow.

Reminder: please visit http://web.mit.edu/subjectevaluation/ and give your evaluation of 6.005!

Have fun-
-Francis
