Description

This subject qualifies as a Circuits Engineering Concentration
subject

Advanced topics in analysis, design, manufacturing, and control of
power electronics. Topics include: high-frequency power magnetics;
advanced modeling and control methods; power components, devices,
and materials; manufacturing methods; electromagnetic interference,
filtering, grounding, and shielding; topologies including
soft-switched and resonant circuits and switched capacitor
circuits; circuit theory applications to power electronics;
emerging technologies in power conversion.

Hi 6.334ers:

Good luck with your quizzes and your future careers. For those who have missed the Wednesday session, your quiz-2 is available to be picked up in Minjie's office. And the final project will be available to be picked up since next Monday. If you want to watch the movie about Tesla, you can borrow the DVD from Prof. Afridi.

Wednesday Lecture - A movie about Nikola Tesla starts from 12:20pm

Hi 6.334ers:

It is a great pleasure of me to go through 6.334 with you this semester. After 35 lectures, 10 psets, 2 quizes and 1 projects, we are going to watch a movie about Nikola Tesla this Wednesday to relax ourselves and to see how a pioneer electrical engineer walk through his career. We booked the room from 12pm until about 2pm at 32-124. The movie will start at about 12:20pm and it lasts about 90 mins.

Office Hour Today

Hi All:

We are getting close to the end of the semester with just the final project to finish. I will have office hour today in 26-302 from 5pm to 7pm to answer questions about the project. I have just uploaded a PLECS tutorial file on the stellar site. It is not directly related to the project but may give you some hint if you choose to use PLECS. Hope this will be helpful to you.

Quiz 2 Review Notes and Solutions Uploaded, Office Hour Tomorrow

Hi All:

A few mistakes have been found in the solutions of my home-made additional practice problems (what a shame and I apologize for the inconvenience). I have corrected those mistakes and uploaded the Quiz 2 Review Notes. A hand-written solution has also been posted. At the same time, I am offering office hour tomorrow from 3pm to 5pm in my office (10-015). Feel free to drop by if you have any last minute question.
