Game Submissions & Kickstarter for Boston Festival of Indie Games
The MIT Game Lab and Boston Indies are putting on the Boston Festival of Indie Games this September 14th, 2013.
I highly encourage you to submit your games to it -- we love seeing student made games at the festival, both digital and non-digital (tabletop, live action, etc...). Submissions are open until June 20th!
Submit your Digital games:

Submit your Tabletop/non-digital games

Attending the festival is free (it's a public event being held at the Stratton Student Center) but the event needs support to help it keep happening every year. If you could share this with your friends and family, it would help make the event a huge success!

Paid UROP at the Game Lab this summer
The MIT Game Lab has a few UROP positions to fill for this summer!
We are looking for 1 programmer and 2 designers to work with staff and researchers of the Game Lab on the following two projects:
e-Sports Visualizations:
Looking for programmers to create tools to be used for e-Sports
commentators of Starcraft 2. Tools created will use APIs and data
freely available to the public by Blizzard. 1-2 years of experience
in programming is required. Experience in UI design & Blizzard
editing tools is a plus!
Non-Digital Game Prototyping:
Looking for designers to work as a team creating multiple
non-digital game prototypes for games about complex systems
(finance and climate change). We'll be exploring multiple types
of non-digital games (board, card, live action, party, etc..) to
see which best support understanding complex systems. Must have
some experience in prototyping/creating games, either through
CMS.608 (Game Design) or through other UROPs or personal
experience.
Each position will work up to 40 hours per week at the rate of $10/hour. Each position will last from June through August for no more than 10 weeks (start and end date is negotiable, but needs to match teammates).
To apply, send an updated resume and cover letter to Rik Eberhardt, reberhar@mit.edu, by May 17th. Interviews will be conducted throughout May.
