The MIT Game Lab still has a few UROP positions to fill for this summer!
Non-Digital Game Prototyping:Looking for designers to work as a team creating multiple non-digital game prototypes for games about complex systems (finance and climate change). We'll be exploring multiple types of non-digital games (board, card, live action, party, etc..) to see which best support understanding complex systems. Must have some experience in prototyping/creating games, either through CMS.608 (Game Design) or through other UROPs or personal experience.
Each position will work up to 40 hours per week at the rate of $10/hour. Each position will last from June through August for no more than 10 weeks (start and end date is negotiable, but needs to match teammates).
To apply, send an updated resume and cover letter to Rik Eberhardt, reberhar@mit.edu. Interviews will be conducted throughout May.

Game Design Student Group?
Here's a message from your classmate, Alex Willisson:----
Hey all, now that class is over, I want to keep making games. I'm starting to look for people to form a game design student group next fall. I'll personally put a emphasis on non-digital games like we worked on in class, but I'll design the group so that it's open to any types of games, and the focus could shift in the future.
I'm not entirely sure how the group will work yet, it'll probably depend on the size a lot. I might loosely model it after CMS.608's assignments (people meeting up to playtest each other's games and play games with interesting mechanics)
Right now I'm looking for people who are interested in joining, or even better people who are interested in helping organize. I'll snag a mailing list soon, email me if you want to be on it. Based on this year's deadlines, I'm guessing ASA student group applications will be due in early october, so it'd be great to have things set up and rolling by then. I'll be in CA over the summer so it'll be a little tricky to organize things then.
