Assignment Question answered
Hi All,Someone asked this in class yesterday but wanted to share it for all (it unfortunately didn't get recorded). You all work for different candidates and should hopefully have researched whether your candidate has a position on the issues you are incorporating into your proposed platform. As you will recall from previous assignment feedback, who you are (and who you work for) is an important part of these assignments. What your candidate has previously taken a stand on may have an influence on what you recommend they incorporate into a platform. This may be counter to what you believe is ideal policy. Should you think that what you prefer is the right way forward for your candidate, how that candidate shifts position (and generates the political will for this position shift) should be part of your memo.
Regarding Ashford, here is an optional reading by Alex Steffen, an author I'm a big fan of, in the Harvard Business Review on how the green economy is a good economy. http://blogs.hbr.org/2013/04/the-21st-century-economy-will/
Have a happy weekend. Let me know if you have further assignment questions!

End of Semester Dinner, second round
Hi all,Some apologies for making you resubmit an answer. Fred can't make Tuesday evening so we've expanded the options. Slight clarification that this would be a catered event in Building 1.
So please resubmit an answer :)
