MSDO Final Grades
Dear MSDO Students:Now that the final lecture is over and all assignments have been submitted it is time for us to thank you for your active participation and excellent work in 16.888/ESD.77 this term. As was stated during the last lecture this was the largest class we've had (including on-campus and distance students) and while it greatly added to the diversity of projects it also made the logistics a bit more challenging.
The final two actions with respect to the class are:
1. Feedback - please give us feedback about the class (both qualitative and quantitative). We are striving for continuous improvement and really take your feedback seriously, whatever it may be. Currently the class response rate is at only 58% (32/55 eligible). Please those 23 folks who are eligible but have not yet responded, please do so ASAP as the evaluation closes tomorrow morning Monday May 19 at 9AM. The website is here:
http://web.mit.edu/subjectevaluation/
2. Final Grades. We are in the process of reading your final papers and most everything has been graded now. You can go look on stellar (in the assignment section and in the Gradebook Module) for each of the grades you received for each assignment. As per the assignment we are also assigning a participation grade which captures mainly attendance and will contribute 10% to your final grade. Our grading conference will be on Tuesday May 20 and we will release final grades to the registrar that evening. They should then be visible to you within a couple of days.
Also, for written comments about any assignments (part A or B) that we may still have we will put them in a box labeled as "16.888/ESD.77 MSDO Returned Assignments" outside of 33-410. Please come by or ask a class mate to pick them up anytime after Tuesday May 20 at 9AM.
Please stay in touch and enjoy the summer !

Next class (5/13) starts at 12:30
As Prof Willcox said at the end of class today, our next class will start at 12:30 because we have more than six groups presenting. That's a half hour early. Please be on time so we don't go over again.REPEAT: CLASS = 12:30. BE THERE.

Final Assignment A6 has been posted.
Dear MSDO students:The final assignment A6 has been posted. This assignment does not bring in any new content but is simply the wrap-up of your term projects in terms of two deliverables: final presentation (15 minutes) and final paper in the format on an AIAA-type conference paper.
Please upload your presentations before the time slot assigned to you on May 6, 8 or 13. Your final papers are due on May 15, the final day of classes. In the past many student teams have put a bit more work into their papers after the semester and published them at actual conferences.
Best wishes for the final assignment
