Final exam info
Hi all,Some information to help your study:
- The exam is 2hrs long, on Thursday May 21 from 1.30 to 3.30pm in Walker (50-340). Please be on time. There is no extra time if you are late to the exam. Bring a pen and 'real' calculator.
- The exam is cumulative. This means you should be comfortable with (but not limited to) the following topics: BSE and adjusting entries, A/R & Bad Debts, Inventory valuation, PPE/Depreciation and disposal of assets, Bonds, Shareholders Equity transactions, constructing and interpreting Cash Flow statements, Ratio Analysis, understanding the implications of any BSE transactions on financial statements, and interpreting information from 10-K disclosures. As a rule of thumb, anything in the psets or lecture slides is examinable within reason (i.e. I'm not going to examine obscure issue/concepts).
- HBS cases and case material will not be examined.
- You will be provided with a list of financial ratios, and PV/FV tables.
- The exam is in short-answer format.
- In addition to practice exams on Stellar, I have posted a comprehensive set of practice questions on the mybusinesscourse website under the "Additional Files" tab. You can work through these an infinite amount of times. After you submit, you can go back in and redo all the questions with new randomly generated numbers.
I'll hold office hours next Wed 20th from 2-4pm. Your TAs will also post their own office hours.

Please note these do not include the solutions which will be posted after tomorrow's review session. Tomorrow we will go over Practice exam 1.

Pset Extension and Extra Credit Assignment
Hi all,I'll extend the pset due date for everyone until Sunday midnight. I've turned down a number of individual requests for extensions in order to be fair to everyone but upon reflection, I'd rather you have more time and actually be able to complete the work.
The Microsoft case next Monday is not assessable per the syllabus. I'll give everyone up to 3 extra points on your final grade if you choose to submit a typed response to the case questions before we cover the case on Monday.

Midterm Information for Tomorrow

2. the exam is closed book - we will provide present value tables and financial ratios but no other formula sheet
