Lecture Notes posted and errata

Hi Class,

The lecture slides for yesterday and last Wednesday have now been posted. Also, two errata have now been corrected.

1. If homework is not turned in in class, it should be turned in at the math office E18-366. This is now written in the course info document.

2. There was a typo in the Taylor series formula in problem set 2. The formula that was written was

sum from n=0 to infinity (f^n(x-a))/n! * (x-a)^n

The correct formula is

sum from n=0 to infinity (f^n(a))/n! * (x-a)^n

This Week's Schedule

Hi Class,

I will be traveling later this week, so Instructor Potechin will hold recitation at the usual time on Thursday. The second problem set will be due Friday. Since I will be missing my Friday office hours, please feel free to email me with questions, particularly if you need something answered regarding the problem set. I will strive to reply as soon as possible.

Solutions to the first problem set will be posted immediately after class on Wednesday.

Best,
Cole

Moved TA Office Hours

Hi Class,

There's been a scheduling mixup, so for today only my office hours will take place in a conference room on the 4th floor of the math dept, room E18-466B. Sorry for the confusion.

Best,
Cole Graham
