Two Kinetics Practice Problems on the Final Exam

Hi All,

The course evaluation period is closed and 81% of the class filled out a course eval. Excellent work! As promised, this means that two of the three kinetics problems on the exam will be taken verbatim from the ungraded kinetics practice problems ("problem set" 13 and online problems 12). The other problem as well as a couple short answer questions will be similar to (but not identical to) problems from the final exam practice, Problem set 11 and/or clicker questions from class.

Office Hours for Final Exam

Review session for 5.111 will be held on Saturday May 16th from 10 am to noon in 4-270.

In addition, there will be office hours:
Saturday May 16th from 1 pm - 5 pm in 4-145
Monday May 18th from 7 pm to 9 pm in 4-265
Tuesday May 19th from 4 pm to 8 pm in 4-265

As always, your TAs will also be available by email if you have questions

Problem Set 10 Due Date Revised

Dear Class,

As discussed in lecture today, I've changed the due date for PSet 10 to Saturday April 25 at 5 PM. I've also changed the due date for the MITx problems to Saturday April 25 at 5 PM.

I uploaded a revised version of the PSet that fixes a small typo in Problem 5 (that won't change your answer) and provides a bit more information in Problem 7a to make the problem a bit simpler.
