Exam tomorrow and issues about PSet 6

Hi Class,

This is a reminder that our 4th Midterm will be held tomorrow 11-12 at Walker Memorial.

Due to my miscommunication with graders, the optional problems in PSet 6 were graded inconsistently from section to section (some of you didn't get credits, some got 5,10 or 20 for each problem).

Here's what we are going to do. We will give 10 points max for each optional problems as we did in PSet 5, so the maximal possible score is 20*7+10*3=170 for PSet 6. If you feel your current grade is inaccurate, please contact your recitation leader directly (with a copy/picture of your returned PSet), he/she will adjust your grade accordingly.

Finally, we will use 140=20*7 as full-mark for PSet 6 to calculate your final grade, which means if you get 140 in PSet 6, you get full-mark and will not lose anything. If you get more than 140 from optional problems, it is even better.

I apologize for this complication caused by me.

Best,
Teng

Hi Class,

I hope you had a wonderful spring break!
PSet 4 was posted yesterday. Notice that it will due on April 7 (Thursday), therefore you have about 10 days to complete it. Problem (5) is kind of challenging, so, have fun!
