The due date for design project #2 is tomorrow, May 14th. However, as a number of you have indicated that you may need more time, project submissions will be accepted until class on Wednesday at 1pm with no penalty.

Steel design assignment

Because the plastic design topic has been covered only partially, we are making Question 2 optional with an extra credit of 1%.

Steel design assignment & Updated syllabus

As previously discussed, the syllabus has been updated, and there is no longer a Quiz #4. A steel design assignment has been posted which is due next Friday May 11th. This assignment is short and should not take you longer than a few hours to complete. The updated breakdown of grades for the design portion of the class is as follows:
Project 1: 10%
Project 2: 20%
Quiz 1: 15%
Assignment: 5%

FEA example

Hi everyone,
I've posted a very simple FEA example notebook in study materials to help you get started. You will need to have jupyter installed to view this, as well as anastruct to run it. If you are still having issues with installation let me know.
