Final class

The last class of the semester is on Wednesday. I've updated the syllabus with the readings. We'll be thinking about the future of the digital economy, so please read chapters 3 and 5 of Race Against the Machine. Come to class prepared to make a bold prediction or two of your own. Also, remember that the final paper is due on Wednesday as well.

See you in class!

Draft final papers due

Please upload your draft final papers tonight before midnight at the Stellar Website. There is a section at the bottom of the materials section where you can do this. After midnight, all classmates will be able to see each other's papers. Please review them before class and bring constructive comments. Please email me if you do NOT want to present on 5/2. (We will hear from Abishek, Galit, Shachar and others on 5/2 and the remaining students on 5/9)

Paper Proposal Due Today, April 17

Please remember to send me your proposal for your final paper today, if you haven't already done so. You can submit it via Stellar. There's an online submission form in the Homework folder, along with a copy of the final paper guidelines. If you have trouble with the form, you can email the proposal to me. As noted in the guidelines, here's what I'm looking for:

- a brief description of paper topic

- an explanation of why it’s interesting and relevant to the topics in the course

- related literature that you are aware of so far
- your methodology for addressing the research questions

- a rough timeline for completing the draft paper by May 1

Thanks.

Erik
