Convenience stores first appeared in Japan in 1974.  After 30 years, convenience stores (and industry leader Seven-Eleven Japan) have now become an indispensable part of Japanese life.  Come learn about the strategies and challenges they face as they transform Seven-Eleven's U.S. business based on the company's success in Japan.  Key questions they will answer include:

"How can it implement the Seven-Eleven Japan business model in U.S. market?"
"Can a small retail shop business beat giant retailers like Wal-Mart?"
"Can the U.S. convenience stores change from simply offering gas, tobacco and liquor?"
