Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for a great semester!  I hope you all enjoyed the class and learned some ideas that you can use at work one day.  I really enjoyed being a TA for the class and learning from your discussions and questions. Thank you!

Just a reminder to please take a look at the Excel spreadsheet posted under tomorrow's date on the class website; this will be used for the game we will play in class tomorrow.

Also, course evaluations are now available online at http://web.mit.edu/ subjectevaluation.  I would like to encourage you to fill them out and provide feedback to each of us so we can improve the course and our teaching in the future.  Both positive feedback and constructive criticism will be very useful to all of us.

Hi all,

As I announced today in class, the final assignment (titled "Dual Sourcing" on the syllabus) is a mini-case.  There are three questions at the end of the case that we would like you to include in your case write-up.  Since this is a mini-case, we expect this to take less time than the other cases you've had in the class, and we expect a shorter write-up as well.

I handed out copies of the case today; if you were not in class and a group member did not pick up a copy, please email me and I can arrange getting one to you.  Also, I have posted the lecture slides from class today on the website.

Hi all,

There are 3 readings posted on the class website (under 4/30 topic) that the guest speaker would like you to read before class on Monday.  Please be familiar with these topics and ready to discuss.

As a reminder, there is no recitation scheduled for tomorrow or the remainder of the semester.  Finally, I will not be able to attend office hours next Monday afternoon, but Bernard will be there to answer any questions.

Hi all,

Apparently there was an old assignment posted on our class website regarding the Seagate case (in error).  I just wanted to let everyone know that there is no written assignment that needs to be done for Seagate; please just read the case and be prepared to discuss in class on Monday.

Also, please note that there are no more recitations scheduled for the remainder of the semester, so enjoy sleeping in on Fridays!  If you are interested in a supply chain topic that we have not covered (or you would like to see something in more depth), please let me know and I would be happy to meet with you during recitation time to discuss.

Finally, I will be out of town tomorrow through Monday for a conference, so I apologize in advance for being less connected over the next few days.  Bernard will still be in office hours on Monday from 2:30-4:00 to answer any questions you may have on the capacity assignment due next Wednesday.
