Fall 2006

Instructors: Paul T Matsudaira, Leslie Ann S Roldan

Lecture:  TR2-4  (68-574)

Information:

The goal of 7.18 is to help students learn to plan and manage their UROP research project and to communicate their research goals, results, and interpretations to the lay and scientific community. As a communications-intensive subject, each student will present his/her research several times during the term in a group meeting setting as well as lead a journal club discussion of a major scientific field in their subject. A ten page end-of-term research paper or proposal will culminate a term-long analysis of a UROP research project through extensive writing, analysis, and revisions of section drafts.
