Final exams from prior terms
Class,
Hope all your end-of-term studies are going well!
Lynn and I have posted the final exams from prior terms on the Stellar site (just go to "Materials" and then "Exams"). For 2007 and 2008, there was an in-class assignment instead of a final examination, but it is pretty similar. The final exam from Fall 2009 is more representative of the material we have covered this year. Try to complete these before consulting the solutions (also posted) so you can get a sense of how well you know the material.

PSet and Midterm Return
Hi Everyone,We have one more office hours tomorrow (9-11 in E62-626) and one more lecture as well. The lecture tomorrow will be a review of material from the semester.
As always, you can pick up your midterm exams and previous psets during office hours. In addition, I will bring PS5 along with previous psets and midterms to the class. This will be your LAST OPPORTUNITY TO PICK UP YOUR MIDTERMS.
Suggested solution for Pset 5 has been posted on Stellar.

PS5, Midterm Pick Up, Office Hours, and Final Exam
Hi Everyone,Next week will be our final week of class on Monday, December 6th and Wednesday, December 8th. Here are some announcements pertaining to the course.
Problem Set 5
As we have been informed by the MIT Student Committee for
Educational Policy, the last day for assignments due should fall no
later than Friday, December 3rd. As such, the problem set 5 due
date is now December 3rd, in the mailbox of Lynn Li, in E62-655.
However, should you need extra time to complete the assignment over
the weekend, we will take problem set 5 submissions in class on
Monday. You will NOT be penalized for submissions in class but we
encourage you to submit your problem set early.
Midterm Pick Up & Office Hours
You can pick up your midterm as always during office hours, which
are Wednesday from 9-11AM. Next Wednesday will be the LAST office
hours of the year.
Final Exam
Final exam will be on Tuesday, December 14th, from 9AM. The exam
format is similar to the previous 2 midterms. The exam will be only
80 minutes. The exam is cumulative in the sense that you will need
to know previous material. However, it will have a HEAVY emphasis
on material learned since Midterm 2. Furthermore, You can bring an
ONE-SIDED 8.5 by 11 inch CHEAT SHEET to the final exam.
