Journal Page #2 Improvisational Leadership/Daena Giardella Due Nov 22

Hi all! Here is the Journal Page topic for this week:

Please write a one page Journal reflection on your learning experiences and observations in our last class. Here are some possible questions to consider: What insights did you gain? What was challenging for you? Discuss any breakthroughs, awarenesses, obstacles, themes that you experienced which pertain to your exploration of your growing edge and/or your default habit roles.

Particularly focus on your experiences doing the improvisation exercise where you were asked to take turns in partners giving Rants (about something that annoys you) and Raves (about something you love) as well as the exercise where you were asked to give monologues about some social global or local issue that you feel passionate about and have a strong opinion about. Both of those exercises focused on your ability to "take stage" and speak spontaneously with gusto about issues you care about.

Also, reflect on your experience witnessing and/or participating as you watched the various improvised scenarios in class ( to name a few: the teams with the aggressive manager, the manager and employees dealing with inappropriate humor, the solo talk after media reports of organizational downsizing, etc)

As always, this journal entry is an opportunity for you to reflect, digest, synthesize what you are discovering about yourself and what you wish to focus on as goals for the next class.

Due Tuesday Nov 22, 4pm Please Submit Both hard copy and digitally on Stellar
