Business Plans and Final Presentations

Hello everyone,

We wanted to share an update regarding Business Plans and Final Presentations. This is an important note so please read the entire thing.

Business Plans:

Please note that your final business plans are due on the last day of class, December 12, in hard copy in class. You cannot turn in this assignment late so please, please be sure you have everything printed and ready to go in class.

You can find a checklist for the assessment of your business plan under Stellar > Materials > Sample Business Plans (very bottom of page). Howard and Bill will be using this assessment to grade.

Final Presentations:

All presenting teams will have 10 minutes to present (5-7 minutes of presentation, 3-5 minutes of Q&A). You will be presenting in class to the class, Howard and Bill, and a few outside guests. To structure your presentation please view the slides under Class #22 for guidance from the lecture Bill gave last class as well as the InTouch example.

On the day of your presentation, please email your slide deck to your TA (Phil: Section A, Madeline: Section B) by 11 AM. This is important so that we can have your slides ready to go during the class. Your deck should be considered final at the time of submitting to your TA as we will not have time to load a new deck.

Please note that there are different options for each section so read below regarding your section specifically.

15.390 Announcements for This Week and Next

Hello everyone,

A few notes regarding class up until Thanksgiving.

1. There will be no office hours this Friday due to Bill's schedule.
2. The homework link for Assignment #8 (due Monday 11/19) is up under Class #18 in the Materials Section on Stellar.
3. There will be no class on Wednesday, November 21.

Clarification for Class #17

Hi everyone,

It seems like there's some confusion about the original announcement. Some clarifications.

- Homework #1 is not an additional assignment, it's just a term we used to define the reading. Note, all you need to do is the reading in the syllabus to cover the homework.
- The brochure is a portion of Assignment #8 that is due next Monday. If you have a working draft of it, or brainstormed ideas, please bring those ideas or drafts to class to share. There is no deliverable due.

Notes for Class this Week

Hello everyone,

Hope you had a great long weekend. Reminders for next class:

1. Homework #1 from the schedule: Read Steps 7, 20-23 in the reader
2. Bring a rough draft of a brochure to class for your team
3. If possible, make a quick list of your team’s assumptions (Step 20) and how you might test them (Step 21)
