Presentations and Problem Sets

Hi all,

There are a few announcements and changes to the syllabus regarding the problem set due dates

1. Student presentations are scheduled for Nov 20, in class. I have posted a sample presentation on the course website to serve as a guideline. Each group will have 1 presentation. You should aim for about 5 minutes of presentations which will be followed by comments/questions from your classmates and comments from the Professors.

2. Problem Set 5 has been posted and will be due on 11/25.

3. Problem Set 6 will be posted on 11/27 and will be due in recitation on 12/6.

4. The final is scheduled for Tuesday December 17, 2013
Time: 1:30pm – 4:30pm

Problem Set Posted

Hi All,

I have posted the next problem set. It will be due in class on October 9.

The usual instructions on submission process and do-files apply.

This problem could be quite involving, so I would advise you to start earlier.

Problem Set 2 posted and link for today's video

Hi All,
1. Problem Set 2 has been posted and is due Monday, Sept 30, at 1:00pm. Few things:
-You need to print your assignment along with your do-files. -Do not respond to questions in your do-files. It should only have the code and necessary comments
-Do not submit your log-file. If portions of your log files are relevant to the answers, then include them directly in your responses. If there are figures that are relevant, paste them along with your responses.
-Tips: so don't wait till the last moment to get started.
