Optional final exam location

Dear All

The location of the optional final exam on Dec 16 (1:30pm-4.30pm) is Kirsch Auditorium, 32-123. The auditorium has approx. 320 seats, so there are enough seats for everyone.

Final Exam (copied from the email I sent on Sept 23)

Over the past few days, the MIT administration and I have been working on the challenges around the final exam date of this class that consists of a very high number of cross registered students. The goal was to follow the MIT protocol but also be fair to all students independent of their home school.

Per MIT policy, cross-registered students that have examination or academic calendar conflicts can take the final exam on a different date. The optional exam date for these students is December 16, 1.30pm-4.30pm (classroom: TBD).
We are willing to allow MIT students to also take the exam on this date.

The official final exam (Dec 21) is not cancelled. Students can still take the final exam on this date.

The exams will have different content but the same level of difficulty.

If you have any concerns or issues with this arrangement, I would be happy to discuss those in class on Tuesday.

Ian's New Office Hours

Dear students,

Starting from the 1st week of November, I will be holding office hours on Wednesdays 11am - 12pm in the same room (e51-242). No office hours will be held on Thursdays. I am moving office hours to align with new H2 schedules.

During the SIP, there will be an office hour on 10/26 (Wed) 1pm - 2pm.
