Review session for final exam

Dear 18.01 students,

There will be a review session for the final exam. The review session will take place on Saturday (Dec. 17th), from 1-3pm in room 2-190.

Midterm 4 information

Dear 18.01 students,

Some information ahead of midterm 4:

1) A formula sheet containing some trigonometric integrals and identities will be included with the midterm. The exact formula sheet you will be provided can be seen under the "Exams" section of the official course website: http://math.mit.edu/~jspeck/18.01_Fall%202016/1801_Exams.html

2) A midterm review session will be held Monday (Dec. 5th) from 7-9pm in room 4-163.

3) The solutions to pset 8 have been posted on the course website: http://math.mit.edu/~jspeck/18.01_Fall%202016/1801_Problem%20Sets.html

Pset 7 updated with part I solutions.

Dear 18.01 students,

Part I (Lecture 20) of problem set 7 referred to certain solutions found at the end of the pset. Mistakenly these were not included. The pset has now been updated to include these solutions at the end of the pset.

Midterm 3 information

Dear 18.01 students,

Some information about midterm 3:

1) The exam takes place on Thursday Nov. 10 at 1pm in the usual classroom.

2) Review materials and solutions to the psets have been posted on our course website.

3) The cutoff for the exam is the material on average value and probability from Nov. 3, i.e., this material is on the exam.

4) There will be a review session on Wednesday Nov. 9 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm in 6-120.

5) The same makeup exam policy from the previous two midterms applies.

6) Pset 7 is not due until after the exam, but we encourage you to work through the material on average value and probability before the exam.
