Writing office hours
Dear Class,Ari Nieh, Malcah Effron, and I are holding writing office hours until the end of the semester. We're each specializing on one project, as indicated below, but feel free to meet with any of us:
Ari Nieh (Project 1): Drop-in office hours today (Dec 1) from 2-4 pm at E18 - 228N; or e-mail anieh@mit.edu to arrange an appointment.
Malcah Effron (Project 2): Sign up for an appointment at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yX7klF2CsGqodLTLh-7X-dA8QWIzb0yeSFm9fXNN6uA/edit?usp=sharing
Susan Ruff (Project 3): Sign up for an appointment at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_hygm1RJtDuzntrp_X3pxz8NQvi8jIdlJbi5aVtDM1s/edit?usp=sharing
The purpose of these office hours is to help you with your writing, including questions about the journal article genre, guiding the audience, writing convincing and clear proofs, precision of wording, conventions of mathematical writing, crafting text that flows well, etc. Questions about the correctness of the mathematics should be brought instead to math office hours.
