Information:
Introduction to statistical inference with probabilistic graphical models. Directed and undirected graphical models, and factor graphs, over discrete and Gaussian distributions; hidden Markov models, linear dynamical systems. Sum-product and junction tree algorithms; forward-backward algorithm, Kalman filtering and smoothing. Min-sum and Viterbi algorithms. Variational methods, mean-field theory, and loopy belief propagation. Particle methods and filtering. Building graphical models from data, including parameter estimation and structure learning; Baum-Welch and Chow-Liu algorithms. Selected special topics.

Exam scores, Course grade, Regrades
Dear all,You can now find your Final Exam scores on Stellar. Mean score was 22.1, with a standard deviation of 3.7. The final letter grades for the course have been approved and will be available on the registrar's grade report portal (whenever the Registrar makes them available for viewing).
You will be able to pick the exam booklets from Jeannille Hiciano (hicianoj@mit.edu) (e17-478) tomorrow (Thursday) from 9.30am-noon and 1.30-4.00pm. If you miss that period, you may arrange for a pick-up with Jeannille at a later time when she is at her desk.
IMPORTANT: If you want to send a regrade request, please submit your re-grade request in writing WITHOUT taking your exam booklet away. If you take the booklet away, we will not entertain your re-grade request. You must do so by tomorrow (Thursday).

Final Office hours
I will be holding office hours from 3 to 5 pm tomorrow in the usual location (6th floor lids lounge).Also, a reminder that you are allowed to bring 4 8.5 x 11-inch cheat sheets (both sides written) to the exam.

Grade homework pickup
If you'd like to pick up your graded homeworks, please drop by Stata 32-D66 (Lynne Dell's cubical) to pick them up. They should be in the cubical all weekend. The homeworks are stacked according to the Homework number so please leave them in an orderly fashion.Thanks!

Final Exam and Make-up exam (time/location)
Hi everyone,A reminder that our course Final Exam is scheduled for next Tuesday (12/20) from 1.30-4.30pm in duPont Gym.
If you have a conflict with the above time, and have not yet communicated that to us, please do so ASAP. We are offering a make-up exam time on Monday (12/19) from 1-4pm in e17-479. Note that you will only be allowed to take the exam early for a registrar-approved reason.
