Information:

6.933 is an introductory entrepreneurship class for engineering students to start to explore entrepreneurship and the different aspects of what it means to be entrepreneurial. Hear from successful entrepreneurs how they did it and learn the initial tools needed to build a successful venture.

Students will:
- Explore the various aspects of what entrepreneurship can look like
- Understand the mindset of an entrepreneur
- Learn about methods, frameworks and tools for discovery, validation, design and development
- Learn where to start and what to think about when creating a new venture
- Gain exposure to various aspects of entrepreneurship from product to team to legal to fundraising
- Learn about obstacles that may threaten success
- Be introduced to entrepreneurship resources at MIT

This course is designed to give students the opportunity to learn in a hands-on format how to think about bringing an idea to fruition, with exposure to those who have done it at MIT and in the surrounding community. Although we will cover the basics of new venture creation, you do not need to have an existing idea or project that you are working on.

Even if you’re not ready for a start-up, this course is designed to provide you insights from others who have taken entrepreneurial paths and insights into their experiences, beyond media portrayals, and critical decision points they encountered along the way.

Survey Live + Feedback

Tonight's survey will encompass an overall speaker review on the semester. It's longer than the normal survey, so it will be weighted more heavily.

Also, if your group has not received feedback from a TA, it will be emailed to your team by the end of this weekend.

Remember to submit slides by 5pm on Tuesday.

The pitch slides should be sent to fj-ta@mit.edu by 5pm next Tuesday.
