Grades submitted - and some info on 6.s077

Dear all,

final course grades for 6.041B have been submitted and should become available through Websis (not through Stellar). It was a real pleasure to be in charge of this class.

On this occasion, I would like to bring to your attention the class 6.s077, Introduction to Data Science, which is offered again this coming spring, and will be taught by Profs. Polyanskiy and Shah. The class is very much in the spirit of 6.041: it goes quite deep into statistics and inference, all the way to modern machine learning methods, from a probabilistic perspective.

You can get a pretty good idea by looking at last year’s site and materials
http://web.mit.edu/6.s077/www/Intro-Doc-Stellar.pdf
https://stellar.mit.edu/S/course/6/sp18/6.S077/
Last spring’s offering was evaluated at 6.6 out of 7.

Enjoy the holiday season!
