A Clarification on the Oral Presentation

The purpose of this message is to clarify the decision to switch from Poster Presentation to Oral Presentation for the projects. The Poster presentation, as announced in various manners in the class in the beginning of the semester, is simply infeasible due to the various logistical reasons for the class of this size (venue, poster presentation material needed, etc.). For that reason, we have switched to Presentation will be simply the poster that you were planning to present but now in the form of oral presentation. The added bonus is that now you have to presence only ONCE rather than multiple times, as one does in Poster presentation. Further this is a team assignment so we believe that team will share the burden of presentation making it relatively simpler for each individual.

Recitation this week

As announced, the recitation on 12/07 will be used as project office hours. You should come to the recitation held by your project TA. If you cannot make it, please email your TA to arrange a time for discussion. You should come prepared with a preliminary presentation for your TA. This does not need to be formal. You can come to discuss your current results and ask for comments (roughly 10mins for each group). Basically, consider this as the last chance to advertise your project to your TA before the final presentation.
