Safety Factors
Note that the allowable stresses you were given already
include a safety factor. You will, however, need to include a
safety factor in any buckling calculations.

beam testing
Beam testing will take place tonight in 1-034 from 5-7pm.

rolling rulers
I have about 6 rolling rulers that I will bring tomorrow for
the exam, half of which are shorty ones. So if you have your own,
please bring it.

CORRECTIONS to review problem solutions
Philippe came in at the end of lab to make some corrections to
the review problem solutions that were handed out today - they are
written on the board in the recitation classroom if you want to go
take a look. Get there before custodial services do!
