Just to clarify: "review sessions" meant "office hours" (more or less)
My last announcement gave the mistaken impression that I'm
giving formal review sessions. I'm not intending to
prepare a review lecture. By "review sessions," I
meant "office hours for the final." While I might
have a few points to convey, I'm intending mostly just to
answer your questions.

PSet 8; Also, when do people want review sessions?
For those who want it, Problem Set 8 without solutions is now
posted online. (The version with solutions is still there
too.)
Also, when do people want review sessions? I'm planning on doing two, but when? Wednesday and Thursday office hours like usual? Do you need a day to digest the review lecture on Wednesday and thus want Thursday and Friday (perhaps during normal lecture hours) or Saturday? On that note, would anyone even come to a Saturday afternoon session? Opinions may be emailed to wmk@mit.edu.

Course VI Underground Guide wants your input
Every year, the MIT chapter of Eta Kappa Nu (HKN), which is
the National Honor Society of Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science, compiles "The Underground Guide to Course
VI."
They want your input on 6.730.
You can give your input confidentially at their website https://sixweb.mit.edu/student/evaluate/6.730-s2008 until 11:59 PM on Friday, May 16.

Solution Set 5 has been posted online. It's slightly corrected compared to the hardcopy.
I just noticed Solution Set 5 had never been posted
online.
This oversight has now been corrected. The online version is slightly corrected compared to the previous hardcopy in solutions 5.2b (a clearer reason for why the two band structures are identical) and 5.4 (the final table for energies at the Y point suffered from some careless cut-and-paste-without-revising errors).
