Final Exam Statistics, etc.

The final exam can be picked up from Conor Murphy in E53-320.  Sample solutions have been posted.

The average was 84 points, the median 88 points, the min 44 points, and the max 100 points.

As for the course grades, more than half the students got an "A," and more than 75% of all students got an "A" or a "B."

According to their answers on Problem 9 of the final exam, more than half of the students thought they deserved a "B," and less than 75% thought their performance was worth an "A" or a "B."

And a nonnegligible number of students did not know how to spell the instructor's name...
