HP Case - clarification
Secondly, as you answer the questions, I would like a mathamatical reason why UPS is or isn't better. You may want to try doing this analysis without transshipment first, then adding transshipment to see what additional benefits - if any - transshipment brings. [Hint, the total lead time is not just reduced to 4 weeks for UPS.] You were given some tools to do this analysis in H1 ealier in the semester. You may have to make some reasonable assumptions. Please come to office hours (3-4pm in E51-242 today) if you have any questions.

HP Case due Wednesday - office hours monday and tuesday
The HP case is due Wednesday. I will hold office hours Monday from 4-5pm, and again on Tuesday from 3-4pm. The location is as of yet undetermined, but I will send out a note on Monday before 1pm with the location. This is the last assignment to turn in. Way to hang in there!

Amazon Case for Tomorrow
This is a reminder that you do not have to write up anything for the Amazon case that is due tomorrow. But please read the case and be prepared for class discussion. The case is in the third edition of the textbook. If you do not have access to the book, you can purchase the case from Harvard Business School online (click this to go to the web) for $6.95. The case is titled "amazon.com's european distribution strategy". Let us know if you have any questions.
