Hello All,
I have uploaded the syllabus for the class. The basic information, such as class time, books, topics, grading, and office hours, can be found there. Some of you have asked the following questions.
Q: I want to take the waiver exam. Which topics do I need to know?
A: The waiver exam will cover the topics A-I in the syllabus. I will not ask any question from topics J-K because those are examples of how one can incorporate behavioral issues into game theory, and the examples change from year to year.
Q: Can I take 14.123 and 14.126 simultaneously?
A: Yes. There are only few basic game theory topics in 14.123. 14.126 mainly starts from where 14.122 ends and it is self-contained. You may need to work on couple topics, such as rationalizability and reputation formation, more than the other students in 126 do.
