Final Exam

Information about the final exam:

The 8.011 exam will take place Monday, May 16 from 9:00 to 12:00 noon in 32-123
Please come on time.  There will be no late exams given out.

The exam will consist of 2 parts:
Part 1: ~20% Short Answer Questions
These are multiple choice concept questions.

Part 2: ~80% Problems
You will chose 5 out of 6 problems.  (Clearly cross out the problem you don't want graded).

In response to your questions:
The physics department does not allow calculators on 8.01 exams.
Flowing Mass will not be emphasized in this exam (i.e. no long mass flow problems like the last Pset).

See you all tomorrow for our last day of classes!

Friday's Exam

This week the exam will concentrate on Angular collisions.  However, the exam will only be given during the first half of Friday's class period.  For the second half of the period, we will be doing one activity from our IAP ReView.  This activity is one that the students in ReView thought helped them signficantly when taking the final exam.

So please set your alarm clocks early (or maybe add a secondary alarm clock!) and come on time to the quiz this friday.

The 8.011 Staff
