Readings
I've posted a bunch of papers relevant to the recent lectures on opacity, including McCarthy's paper on stress and syncope.Study questions for the latter paper:
i. What happens if the input contains stress/prosodic structure?
ii. In the final version of the analysis of Aguaruna where feet are constructed one at a time, what constraint rankings favor constructing a second (and third) foot over deleting a vowel?
