Subject evaluations, and final squib deadline

Thanks to everyone for a great set of presentations this week! If you haven't had a chance to fill out course evaluations yet, please do take a minute to do so. They can be found on-line at:

http://web.mit.edu/subjectevaluation

Also, as announced in class, we'd like to get your squibs by next Wednesday (5/21). If you anticipate needing an extension until later in the week, please let us know as soon as possible, so that we can plan accordingly.

Thanks!

Doodle poll link for make-up times (extending meetings for presentations)

Hi all,
I've created a doodle poll for making up the extra ~40 mins that we lost when the visiting committee was here, by extending class on Mon and/or Wed a little bit in the last week of classes. This will give us a little extra time for presentation and discussion of final papers.

Please indicate which of the following times you can make: (I've left off Wed before class, because my understanding is that you have a recitation then)

Thanks,

We won't discuss Levantine syncope in class on Monday

If you're not ready to upload your solutions to PS-7, that's ok. We will discuss this most likely on Wednesday.

PSet 7 Levantine Stress

Has been uploaded to Stellar. It's due Monday 4-28. We'll discuss the data in class that Monday, so come prepared with your analyses (even if the write-up is delayed). As usual, let us know if any questions arise.

What to bring to class today

Hi all,
It would be useful to bring the following two things with you to class this afternoon:
1) The Sundanese data, along with your solution. We'll start by discussing this.
2) The handout called "Affix-specific faithfulness" (3/17), which contained a section at the end that we haven't discussed yet. (I handed out some extras of this last Wednesday, but we didn't get to it- rather than repeated that, it would be more ecologically friendly to just bring the old ones!)
See you then,
--Adam
