CRSP data available to MIT students

Hi everyone,

Here you can actually download CRSP data through WRDS for free (need your MIT web certificate). After you get into the WRDS's page, click 'CRSP', 'Stock/Security Files', 'Daily Stock File', then you can download historical data by ticker.

This MIT library account has no access to the SAS/R/Python API, so the only available way to download data is to manually input tickers via webpage.

Lab 3 Teams and Investment Ideas/Theses

Hi All,
For the last lab, we have decided to reshuffle the teams in order to have 2 4-person teams. The new teams are:

Team 1
- Hausmann
- Quinn
- Huang
- Schoen

Team 2:
- Adler
- Velez
- Manson
- He

We are going to ask you to please get together before our next meeting (April 1st) and put together a short list of potential investment ideas or theses from which one (or more) could be used to form your lab 3 strategy. This, in order for us to have a discussion on the core investment idea you want to pursue for the project that day in class.
