Grade cutoffs; final exam scores posted; a few more muddy card comments

1.  Final exam cutoffs (out of 300)
A \ge 255
B \ge 210
C \ge 170

2.  Class cutoffs for midterms (sum of announced cutoffs out of 300)

A \ge 262
B \ge 222
C \ge 177

3.  Cutoffs for homework (Part B = 150, Part A = 50)

A \ge 180
B \ge  150
C \ge  130

4.  Cutoffs for the total grade (sum of 1, 2 and 3 above, out of 800)

A \ge 697 
B  \ge 582 
C  \ge 477  
D  \ge 400 

Extra credit was tallied separately and added into final totals (and can only increase your score/ final grade).
Recitation leaders were given 10 points of flexibility for students near the borderline for A, B, and C.

Your final exam scores are now posted here on stellar.  You may look at your final exams (but not take them home with you)
by visiting your recitation leader.   You should be able to find final grades on websys.
I wrote a few more muddy card answers in a final posting under slides just now.

Last muddy answers posted (in materials, slides section)

Dear Class, I have tried to answer all the muddy questions. If I missed your question please ask it again and I can answer tomorrow (Monday).
There are a few comments about the content of the exam at the beginning, but these should not be new information, just meant to be consistent with all you have heard from Recitation Leaders. Note that a few of the muddy questions were answered during the final lecture (already posted in the same place, namely in the lecture slides section). Review Sessions Sunday/Monday

Dear All,

There will be 1h review sessions for each of the units on Sunday & Monday. They will include some general review, and a Q&A session. Here are the times & location, organized by material covered:

LOCATION : Room 10-250.

Material up to Midterm 1 : 4-5pm Sunday.

Midterm 2: 6-7pm Sunday.

Midterm 3: 4:30-5:30pm Monday.

After Midterm 3: 5:30-6:30pm Monday.

They are a great way to prepare for the exam: I encourage you to give them a try!
