Final Presentation Grading and Rubric
Since there is only one deliverable slide show for next week (instead of demo day style presentation and investor style), we will grade your final presentations on the criteria outlined for the investor style presentation in the final project assignment (listed at the bottom of page 5 of the final project document):-Details about the problem your product solves
-How are others solving the problem currently?
-How you are going to solve it? Describe your product and initial
features that are part of the MVP.
-Details about the potential market (Size, Trends, Details about
the competition and what differentiates your product?)
-How are you going to make money (business model,
go-to-market)?
-Why your team is best-suited to solve this problem?
-What value/skillset does your team uniquely possess?
-Who would you need on your team to help you build this company?
What would their role(s) be and why would you need them?
-How much funding will be required? What will you use that money
for?
-What method would you go about funding your startup and why?
(Customer revenue counts!)
**If you aren't seeking funding, make your ask about employees,
advisors, or partnerships instead**
Make sure your assumptions for answering all these points are based on a thorough line of reasoning, and that you will be able to explain how you arrived at your results. We don't expect you to have an idea that is already gaining market traction, but we do expect you to be able to reasonably forecast how and when it could enter the market in the future.
Keep in mind that the final project as a whole is 50% of your semester grade and the final presentation is the best way to sum it up and present it in a concise way that showcases all the work you've done this semester.

Clarification Of What's Due Next Week
The final project assignment is incorrect as to what's due next week. To clarify, here is what you're expected to turn in next week:Tuesday (5/10): Just submit the slides you will be using for your presentation to the link provided in the Final Slides assignment. Submissions must be in by 2PM so that we can order them for the presentations. This is an investor style presentation, so we expect you to present the case for your business and why it would be a sound investment. Core components of that include proving that there is a problem and that you understand it. That you have a unique insight into today's market. That your solution can overcome the stated problem. That there are a lot of people that have this proble. That there are people that are willing to pay to solve this problem and that you have a clear way to capture users and make money.
Thursday (5/12): One page executive summary that you would show to an investor. You may also submit any supplementary materials that you've worked on over the course of the project that back up the numbers and assumptions in your exec summary (market research, interviews, etc)
So only ONE slide deck is due next and it is the deck you will use for your final presentation.
Good luck preparing and see everybody on Tuesday!
