Tomorrow's workshop
Greetings all,
Just a reminder for class tomorrow - everyone will be expected to present their paper drafts (e.g., what's it about, where are you in the process, what are bottlenecks, what are points of excitments - this too is worth sharing!). The objective is to "workshop" or brainstorm together through any difficulties, and to get initial reactions/advice from your peers and me on how you are proceeding and how you might move forward.
I thought I mentioned this in class, but if not - each student will have about 8 minutes overall dedicated to them - so let's say about 4-5 minutes of presenting your research topic and progress, etc. and then another 3-4 minutes of feedback/advice. Remember that powerpoints are *not* necessary. Use them if they are helpful to you, but I have no expectations of a powerpoint presentation. I want to see the "architecture"- ie, bones - of your work.
Also - remember our snow day? I know today is sunny, but a few weeks ago we were sadly separated by snow...which means we still can use some time tomorrow - at end of class - to discuss regulation readings part 2 (with Sydney's lead - so go back to the Forum and look for her post on the readings please to remind yourself).
Looking forward to hearing about your work tomorrow!

Regulation readings
Dear all,
Given this past week's snow day, we will try to integrate last week's readings with next week's reading - both of which center on experiences with regulation. We will spend the first half of class on week 5's readings and the second half on week 6's readings. We will also likely continue discussing week 6 readings in week 7, when we are scheduled to workshop our draft papers.
All my best,
Gabriella
