Letter grades on Stellar

Hi all,

I didn't understand before that students can't see the letter grades we record on Gradebook, so I just added a separate assignment where you can see them.

Grades are on Stellar

Hi all,

Grades are up on Stellar. Here's what you'll see:

1) Your final exam score. The average was 74.4% and the standard deviation was 16.1%.

2) Your numerical grade for the semester, listed under "raw score." As is described in the course information, this is the weighted average of all your homework, midterms, and final exams. Of course, lowest homework scores have been dropped, and excused assignments and midterms have been excused.

3) Your letter grade. This is based on the raw score. The cutoffs were:

A+ - 93
A - 88
A- - 83
B+ - 81
B - 76
B- - 71
C+ - 70
C - 65
C- - 60
D - 48

If there was an issue with a homework or midterm grade, or if something just wasn't entered correctly into Stellar, bring it up with your TA ASAP. It's easy for us to make routine changes before Tuesday, and hard after Tuesday.
