Placement Test
If you have not completed Japanese I (21G.501) by the end of January 2017, you will have to pass the Japanese II placement test in order to be enrolled in the course.
The placement test will take place on Monday, February 5 (Reg. Day: time/place TBA). To sign up for the test, please email Ikeda (mikeda@mit.edu) with a brief explanation of your background in Japanese language study by February 1.
The test consists of listening, grammar, reading and writing parts (50 minutes), followed by a 5-minute interview in Japanese. To find out what was covered in Japanese 1 in fall 2016, go to 501 Stellar Site. To prepare for the test, we recommend Online Drills (especially Situational Usage and Listening Comprehension parts).
