Lab 2 Solutions Online, Lab 3 Handout Available, Office Hours Tomorrow

Hey everybody,

The lab 2 solutions are public on the Github in case you're curious about that. The lab 3 handout is now available on Stellar. We highly recommend at least reading through the ROS tutorials before coming in to lab. You can find that here: http://wiki.ros.org/ROS/Tutorials

If you are going to try to do the tutorials, we recommend you run it on Ubuntu 16.04. Also make sure to make it to lab on time, as it is a fairly long lab this week.

Lastly, we are holding office hours in addition to Prof. Asada's office hours to help with homework. The TA office hours will be at 2 - 4pm, and 5:30 - 7:30pm in 5-007.

We will be holding office hours to help with HW1 (or to answer questions about the final project) on Tuesday 2/19 from 2-4 and 5:30-7:30 in 5-007. As a reminder, homework is due next Wednesday.

Happy long weekend!

Lab 2 Handout Posted

Hello again everybody,

The Lab 2 handout is posted, so check that out if you have time. We anticipate that this lab should be done much quicker than the last lab. In preparation for the lab, make sure you review the lecture notes after lecture tomorrow.

During lab this week, we will begin talking about the team project, and you will have to pick a person to lead your section. We'll also explain everything a bit more in depth in terms of how to split your team during lab, so don't worry about that too much.

Labs this week and solutions to last lab posted!

In the lab this week, we will begin using ROS. You will be able to complete the lab without extensive knowledge of how the platform works, but it will become more and more important to understand the basics in the coming weeks. As such, we recommend you go through the ROS tutorial if you have time. You can find that here: http://wiki.ros.org/ROS/Tutorials

Also, in case you want a copy of the last labs solution code, that is now publicly available on the Github.

As always, post on Piazza if you have any questions or email us.
