Final exam and grade statistics
The distribution of course grades and final exam grades and the solutions for the final exam are now posted in the materials section of the Stellar site under the names of "final grade distributions" and "final exam solutions". Information about the final
Here is some information on the final exam that will be held on Thursday, December 21st from 1:30 to 4:30.You may bring 4 single-sided sheets of notes (or the equivalent), to be handed in with your exam. As usual, no sample problems will be allowed on the notes sheets.
NO BEAM BENDING SOLUTIONS ARE ALLOWED ON THE NOTES SHEETS.
Solutions will be provided with the exam if they are needed for a
superposition problem. You are welcome to bring a calculator,
though it is my opinion that the exam does not require one.

Second quiz
The second quiz will take place on Wednesday, November 15th in class. You may bring two single sided sheets of notes (or the equivalent), but you may not put any sample problems on your notes sheets. The quiz may include any material that we have covered so far, with the exception of the equations of stress and strain transformation and Mohr's circle, which will not be on the quiz.There will also be a quiz review with the TAs from 7:30 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, November 14th in 4-270.

Quiz info
The first quiz will take place during class time in our regular classroom on Wednesday, October 18. It will cover all of the material presented through Wednesday, October 4. It will not cover the new material presented on October 11 or 16. You may bring up to two sheets of notes (single sided) to the exam, and you will need to hand them in with your exam. You may not put example problems on your notes sheets.There will be a quiz review on the evening of Tuesday, October 17th from 7:30 - 9:00 in 54-100. It will be run by the TAs.
