Format
The class runs from 2-4 PM MWF, with some exceptions noted on the calendar.
On days for which a discussion paper is assigned, the first 1.5 hours of class will be a lecture, while the last 15-30 minutes will consist of a student-led discussion of the research article. All students not presenting will be responsible for a 2-3 page double-spaced written response to the research article, due before the beginning of the class.

10% -- Participation (Including paper presentation and
participation during others' presentations)
10% -- Summaries

Midterm exam preparation
As Peter announced in class today, the 9.011 midterm exam will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 2 PM. On Monday, Oct. 29, each professor will give a 20-30 minute review/Q&A session on their section of the course. Both the review and exam will be held in our normal classroom (46-3015) at 2 PM.
You may want to look over the material prior to the review session. All of the slides should be available on the website. Jerry and Chip have also posted study questions for the neuroanatomy and neurogenetics sections.

Paper summary grades and final exam date
You should now be able to view the grades for your paper summaries in the Gradebook section of the course website.
Also, for those of you making winter vacation plans, the course final is scheduled from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm on Dec. 17.
