An Important Concert on Friday Novemeber 8th

Dear Students of 302,
On Friday Novemener 8, at 8pm in Killian Hall the distinguished American pianist Alan Feinberg will give a free recital. The program includes works by Chopin and the Elizabethan Virginalists as well as the monuments Sonata #3 of Charles Wourinen, a work expressely composed for Mr Feinberg.

Musicianship Lab Assignment

For next week:

You do not need to bring your Ottman book to this meeting. You will need your 5 Centuries.

The following should be sung with “performance ready” quality and preparation.

Wednesday Section –

• Sing in German your voice part for Spatherbst (on Stellar) and the tenor voice in solfege.
• Sing in German your voice part for Nocturne VI (on Stellar) and the Soprano I voice in solfege.

Thursday Section –

• Review in solfege your voice part of the “Ave Verum”
• Review in German “Der Muller und Der Bach” (on Stellar) using the clip below as an aid in pronunciation. Please be able to sing the entire piece.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE 302 PIANO LAB

THE 302 PIANO LABS WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY. SEPTEMBER 9.

Please sign-up, at your earliest convenience, for a lab time that you can consistantly attend throughout the semester.
The sign-up sheet is located outside of the Lab, 4-070.
If those students who are celebrating religious holidays this week are unable to sign-up before Sundown on Wednesday, September 4, they should contact their professor who will assure them of a place in the Lab.
